Avocado

The South West avocado harvest is about to start, so today’s Cold Esky Challenge is to find and pick the first ripe fruit for the season.

Whether you like to eat avocado the good old Aussie way with vegemite or prefer it with prawns and salmon over summer, at least you know the fruit has come straight from the tree.

George Ipsen is an avocado grower west of Pemberton and is planning to pick his 20,000 trees in the first week of December.
